EL COYOTE - DOWNTOWN

The newest addition to Downtown dining is El Coyote, an upscale TexMex restaurant and steakhouse. Located at 6th and Walnut Street, the eatery took the place of Cincy's On Sixth, which opened in place of Cadillac Ranch in 2012. While the previous two restaurants didn't do the space justice, many Cincinnatians are excited for the arrival of El Coyote, which has been a staple in Anderson Township since 1983.

Known for their steak fajitas, zesty macaroni and cheese, and signature margaritas, El Coyote has been a favorite restaurant of mine since I was a child growing up on the East Side. Their complimentary chips and salsa are one-of-a-kind: a chunky puree served with warm, crisp tortilla chips. These are so addictive, you could easily fill up before your meal arrives.

Frozen Peach Margarita - also comes in Lime, Raspberry, and Strawberry.

With food and ambiance just like its flagship location, El Coyote is the perfect fit of the wood-themed interior of the former establishments. It brings with it not only delicious meals, but also a new venue to unwind at with a bit of sophistication. The best part: El Coyote is open late! 11:00am-12:00am Sunday through Wednesday, 11:00am - 2:00am Thursday through Saturday.
